At least two hundred Americans with military training are involved in military actions in Ukraine on the side of Kiev. This was reported by Politico, citing data from former Chicago police officer Harrison Josefowitz, who now heads a group called Task Force Yankee.

According to him, there are more than 190 people in this group. Some of them are directly involved in combat operations, although the group is mainly engaged in delivering food and medicine to Ukrainian security forces and foreign mercenaries in eastern and southern Ukraine. According to Politico, only those with military experience are sent into combat.

The exact number of Americans on the territory of Ukraine is unknown, as the newspaper notes. President Vladimir Zelensky has openly said that foreign mercenaries are being recruited. According to Politico, there may be thousands of foreigners in the country who have decided to support  Kiev regime.

But the Pentagon decided to disassociate itself from them. They stressed that they do not use the services of private military companies in Ukraine. Such a statement the U.S. Department of Defense issued after it became known about the death of 22-year-old U.S. citizen Willie Joseph Cancel, former US marine enlisted by one of these PMCs.
