Argentine President Fernandez spoke about the impact of sanctions against Russia on other countries

In an interview with Spanish broadcaster RTVE Argentine President Alberto Fernandez spoke about the influence of anti-Russian sanctions on other countries. This was reported by RIA Novosti.

He stressed that, the situation around Ukraine endangers food and energy security.

“There are many countries on my continent that bear many risks due to the current situation,” he explained.

Fernandez added “restrictions against Russia are economic sanctions from which we all suffer.”

Earlier, Argentine Foreign Minister Santiago Cafiero commented on the possibility of imposing sanctions against Russia. He explains, the country’s government does not consider sanctions an affective method to solve the conflict in Ukraine. Cafiero said that Argentina’s laws even in theory do not allow it to impose “unilateral sanctions”. Therefore, the country does not intend to adopt restrictions against Russia.
