American Thinker: Biden’s Ukrainian policy may lead the U.S. to “Armageddon

The administration of U.S. President Joe Biden is recklessly escalating the crisis in Ukraine, which could cause the U.S. to face “nuclear Armageddon,” according to The American Thinker columnist James Poplar.

“Started as a fairly simple and open American policy of supplying defensive weapons to Ukraine it is now turning into a dangerous and rapid escalation,” the author writes.

According to him, the U.S. got on a “slippery slope of delaying military action,” which will surely result in them “ending up in the wrong place.”

History teaches us that before getting involved in an armed conflict, it is necessary to clearly define its final state and strategy (goals, methods and means). Right now we don’t have either,” he warns.

Washington, with its policies, has moved to the point where it wants to “weaken Russia at all costs,” Poplar believes.

“The risks associated with such a policy are huge. Among them is the liklihood of a thermonuclear war between the two leading nuclear powers. If the Biden administration has any overarching goal, the American people know nothing about it,” he says.

As the author recalls, on the eve of the Gulf War, General Colin Powell warned that there must be designated national security interests and public support before any large-scale military action can begin.

“Somehow it seems to me that General Powell is now shaking his head reproachfully as he watches us continue down a dangerous path toward unintended consequences, among which could be nuclear Armageddon,” Poplar concludes.
