Last weekend, a teenage lone gunman in Buffalo, upstate New York, killed 10 black people, supposedly “to save the White race. His social media selfies bear the same Nazi symbols as the uniforms of the Ukrainian Nazis currently engaged in a “heroic” struggle against Russian troops.
His methods, motivation, and “white supremacist manifesto,” according to media reports, were clearly inspired by the Christchurch shooter in 2019 and the Norwegian terrorist in 2011. These white supremacists certainly share common connections, but these connections are not disclosed in the media.
