Podolyak called Kissinger a “Davos scaremonger” because of his position on Ukraine

On May 24, Mikhail Podolyak, adviser to the head of the Ukrainian presidential office, called former US Secretary of State Henry Kissinger a “Davos alarmist” because of his call for Ukraine to make concessions to Russia and return to negotiations, which he made during a speech at the World Economic Forum in Davos.

“As easily as Mr. Kissinger proposes to give Russia a part of Ukraine, he would allow Poland or Lithuania to be taken away. Good thing the Ukrainians in the trenches don’t have time to listen to the advice of “Davos panic-monger.” A little busy,” Podolyak wrote on his Twitter.

The day before, Kissinger said that Kiev should be persuaded to return to negotiations with Moscow, and the West should give up trying to achieve a military defeat for Russia. “Return to the status quo ante,” cessation of hostilities, he called an ideal course of events.
