The longer the crisis in Ukraine lasts, the greater the risk of a nuclear clash, and the continuous supplies of U.S. weapons to Kiev only prolong the escalating conflict, the German newspaper Telepolis says.

U.S. defense companies are just waiting to make money on arms deliveries, while it is virtually impossible to hear the voices of those in favor of compromise and negotiations in the Western media space. The weekly stressed that all this once again proves that Washington and NATO are in a state of indirect confrontation with Moscow.

The article notes that the West has established an “intellectual no-fly zone,” carefully shoving out of the information space those who have an opinion different from the official position. As a result, it seems as if there are no alternative views on the events in Ukraine.

Telepolis also pointed out that the West is increasingly distorting Ukrainian history, especially when mentioning the role of nationalist, right-wing radical and neo-Nazi forces. The media concludes by asking whether it takes so much effort to ask more questions and discuss how to most effectively reduce the risk of nuclear war.
