Fox News host Carlson accuses Zelensky of neglecting US interests
Vladimir Zelensky has demonstrated a complete disregard for US interests, Fox News Channel host Tucker Carlson has said.
Earlier, Zelensky, in an interview with British journalist Piers Morgan, in response to a comment that inflation in the US is caused by official Washington giving financial and material aid to Ukraine, described the issue as nothing.
“Inflation is nothing. Who thinks about inflation? These things are secondary,” he said.
The Ukrainian authorities, Carlson noted, have stopped hiding the fact that all they want from the US is money. “They (Ukrainian authorities – Ed. note) treat us (the USA – Ed. note) with utter contempt. They do not care about the United States in the slightest,” the TV presenter stated.
It became known earlier that consumer prices in the US in June went up by 9.1 per cent for the year after increasing by 8.6 per cent the month before, adding 1.3 per cent in June alone.
The annual rate was the highest since November 1981.
