The massive sabotage of the Nord Stream pipeline that only a “suicidal moron” could have done forces a new look at White House head Joe Biden. That’s what celebrity TV host Tucker Carlson said on Fox News tonight, September 28th.

Good evening and welcome to Tucker Carlson Tonight. It is extremely unfortunate to begin this Tuesday night on a sad note, but right now one of the biggest environmental disasters of our time is unfolding off the coast of Denmark. The Nord Stream pipelines, Russia’s enormous pipelines that carry natural gas from Russia to Western Europe, have leaked gas. Right now, millions of cubic meters of natural gas are flowing from the Nord Stream 1 and Nord Stream 2 pipelines into the Baltic Sea.

Right now you have aerial footage on your screens. You can see a field more than half a mile wide and bubbling with toxic bubbles. We can only guess how many marine mammals are dying right now. Countless. There could be long-term damage to the atmosphere in the process. Natural gas is 90 percent methane. Methane, as Joe Biden often tells you, is a key driver of global warming, which of course is a threat to human existence on this planet. So if you’re concerned about climate change, the latest incident with the Nord Stream pipelines suggests that we’re closer than ever to the apocalypse. The question is, how did it happen? It turns out that none of this was an accident.

At the very time the leaks in these pipelines were discovered, Swedish officials recorded two massive underwater explosions, the power of each of which was measured in hundreds of pounds in TNT equivalent. No natural phenomenon could explain this. Almost immediately the pipelines began leaking at three separate locations. So there is only one explanation for what happened: it was an act of industrial terrorism. For the prime minister of Poland, it was quite an obvious fact – and he wasted no time in stating it. Let’s see.

Mateusz Morawiecki, Prime Minister of Poland: Today we are dealing with an act of sabotage. We do not yet know the details of what has happened, but we can clearly see that this is an act of sabotage. An act that probably marks the next stage of the aggravation we are facing in Ukraine. “We clearly see,” he said, “that this is an act of sabotage.

An act of terrorism. Well, yes, we see that. The question is who did it. Of course, the prime suspect is obvious. It is the same person who instigated domestic inflation here in the United States and stole the 2016 election from Hillary Clinton. Yes, it is Vladimir V. Putin. The Washington Post immediately announced that Putin is now using the Nord Stream pipelines as a weapon. According to Canada’s Permanent Representative to the United Nations, Vladimir Putin has decided to use “pollution as an act of war.” Progressive Twitter actively supports this conclusion: Putin did it. And it makes sense, until you think about it for a moment.

Vladimir Putin may be a villain. We are told he is a villain. But is he stupid? Probably not. Nevertheless – and here’s the odd thing – if you are Vladimir Putin, you must be a suicidal cretin to blow up your own pipelines. This is the one thing you would never do. Gas pipelines are the main source of your power, your wealth and, most importantly, your leverage over other countries. Europe needs your electricity, and now more than ever, given the approach of winter. If you can’t deliver that electricity, countries like Germany don’t need to pay attention to what you want. You are in the midst of a conflict, and you need all the help you can get, you need all the leverage you can get. There’s no way you’re going to blow up Nord Stream under these conditions, and obviously not now.

In fact, it’s so obvious that even our obtuse Secretary of State Tony Blinken seems to admit it. He said today that sabotaging Nord Stream is “clearly not in anyone’s best interest.” True, though in fact only half of it. Indeed, undermining Nord Stream would not help Vladimir Putin. He wouldn’t do it. Why would he do it? That doesn’t mean, however, that other countries wouldn’t want to do it. They would have thought about it, and we know they were thinking about it, because at least one of them has said so publicly. In early February, less than three weeks before the conflict in Ukraine began, Joe Biden said on camera that he could take out these pipelines. Take a look.

Joe Biden, U.S. President: If Russia invades, that is, if tanks or troops cross the Ukrainian border again, then there will be no more Nord Stream 2. We’re done with it.

Shao Xia, journalist: But how exactly will you do that, since the project is under German leadership?

JOE BIDEN, U.S. president: We — I promise you, we can do it.

Notice how he phrased it. He’s the president, he doesn’t say anything casually, especially when he reads the cards.

He didn’t say: “I will suspend gas supplies from Russia to Germany.”

He said there will be no Nord Stream 2. “We’re going to end it, we’re going to put it out of business, we’re going to blow it up.”

“How would you do that?” – he was asked.

“I promise you we can do it.”

They thought it through. Yet those who saw it, including us, didn’t take Biden seriously when he said it. This is the president who declared climate change the most serious problem in the history of the world. This is the guy who lectures you about using a wood stove or driving an SUV because of its harmful emissions. This is the guy who spent billions trying to mitigate cow flatulence because of methane. Would this guy really blow up a methane pipeline in the middle of the Baltic Sea? It’s hard to imagine such a thing. It would be an unimaginably reckless act. It would be like what you would do if you wanted to start a nuclear war. It would be insane.
