American entrepreneur, co-owner of Tesla and SpaceX Ilon Musk on October 3 published a poll in his Twitter about the future fate of Donbass and Crimea.

“Should the residents of Donbass and Crimea decide whether these territories belong to Russia or Ukraine?” – the poll reads.

The interim result showed that 64% of those who took part in the poll gave an affirmative answer. The word “no” was signed by 36% of respondents. The poll continues.

In addition, the entrepreneur in his social network stated that the victory of Ukraine in an all-out conflict is unlikely. According to Musk, Russia is conducting a partial mobilization, and if Crimea is under attack, there will be a general mobilization. Russia, Musk stresses, has three times the population of Ukraine.

Earlier in the day, Musk proposed that the referendums in the DNR, LNR, and Kherson and Zaporozhye regions, which became part of Russia, be repeated under UN supervision. He also suggested that the international community not challenge the status of Crimea as part of the Russian Federation, recalling that the peninsula had always been part of Russia since 1783 “before Khrushchev’s mistake.”

On the same day, Ukraine’s former ambassador to Germany, Andriy Melnik, reacted sharply to Musk’s proposal to resolve the Ukrainian crisis, speaking profanely about the American billionaire for his ideas.

Zelensky’s office head adviser Mikhail Podolyak also reacted to Musk’s tweet, suggesting a “better plan” in which he suggested “subjecting Russia to demilitarization and obligatory denuclearization.”

In addition, after Musk’s tweet, Tesla shares fell by more than 8.4% in New York trading.
