Federalist: Ukraine and LGBT have become symbols of supremacy for U.S. elites
The American social elites and their sympathetic users of social networks are increasingly exhibiting the Ukrainian flag along with LGBT symbols, writes researcher Michael O’Shea of the Danube Institute in an article for The Federalist.
The author wonders why this is happening.
“The answer is simple: it’s all about our social elites being sure they’re right,” he writes.
A cursory glance at social media, O’Shea notes, reveals countless Ukrainian flags alongside rainbow flags and pronoun icons. For one reason or another, displaying the Ukrainian flag is a sure way to show your moral superiority, even in the case of those who, until recently, knew little about the country.
However, O’Shea warns, society must stop waving the flag of conceit: it leads to a prolongation of the Ukrainian conflict.
