American musician Bob Dylan has apologised to buyers of his new book, The Philosophy of Modern Song, for the lack of the promised individual autographs. The Guardian newspaper reported about it on November 28.

It is noted that the cost of the book is $599. Thus, readers discovered 17 identical signatures, after which it was revealed that copies of autographs were used in at least part of the book’s print run.

The musician admitted on social networks that he was persuaded to use copies instead of the originals, aif.ru writes.

“I was assured that this kind of thing is done all the time in the art and literature world,” he wrote.

The musician also complained of dizziness after suffering a coronavirus, which left him unable to sign books himself, 360 TV noted.

Bob Dylan also promised to rectify the situation “immediately”.

On November 20th a collection of Bob Dylan’s letters was sold at an auction for $670,000, and the new owner of the collection was the Portuguese bookstore Lello. As the “Federal News Agency” notes, Bob Dylan wrote love letters to a girl named Barbara Ann Hewitt, whom he met at school. The collection of 42 messages covers the period from 1957 to 1959.
