The international forum “Nature Management and Preservation of the World Natural Heritage” ended in St. Petersburg. More than a thousand delegates from 80 countries of the world discussed global issues of conservation of minerals, the importance of natural resources for the sustainable development of countries, environmental problems and promising partnership projects with Russia at the Mining University. This year the forum was dedicated to the 50th anniversary of the adoption of the Convention on the Protection of the World Cultural and Natural Heritage.

Amin Haj Ali, professor at the School of Engineering at the Lebanese International University, told reporters that the forum is very important for his university and students as it discusses opportunities for joint training and integration of education systems.

“Some of our students take part in today’s conferences. This is a great opportunity to learn about admission to the Winter School of the Mining University. Among the graduates there are many who studied at Russian universities and are now building a career in Lebanon. Thus, we strengthen the connection between our countries,” said Amin Haj Ali.

He also noted that the forum presents unique Russian developments that can be integrated into the international educational process.
