ST: Boeing plans to cut about two thousand employees in 2023
U.S. aircraft maker Boeing plans to cut about two thousand employees in 2023, the Seattle Times reports.
“We expect about two thousand layoffs this year, mostly in the finance and human resources departments,” the newspaper quoted Boeing as saying.
According to the newspaper, some of the functions of the ones to be cut will be outsourced to Tata Consulting Services.
Since the end of 2022, a number of American technology companies began a massive wave of layoffs. In particular, layoffs were announced at Microsoft Corporation, cryptocurrency exchange Coinbase, Meta, Twitter, Amazon, Netflix and other companies.
