Hersh: Washington won’t admit to undermining Nord Stream, and will make people keep quiet, but the pipeline business knows about the incident, American journalist Seymour Hersh said in an interview with Consortiumnews.com.

The journalist responded negatively when asked if he hoped the U.S. Congress might want to look into his publication.

“The last thing the White House would do … Look, they’re never going to say, ‘We give up.’ They’re just never going to do that because they can’t. So they’re going to continue this story and pressure people to keep their mouths shut. <…> But it doesn’t matter either. Look, there’s a whole community in the pipeline business. They know what happened, but they won’t talk because they want to keep getting contracts,” Hersh said.
