NBC: Norfolk Southern train derailed in Ohio

Another Norfolk Southern train derailed in Clark County, Ohio, and residents are being asked to stay away from the scene, NBC television reported.

“The Clark County Emergency Management Agency is asking residents within 1,000 feet (approximately 305 meters) of the train derailment… to shelter in place as a precaution,” the channel quoted a Clark County social media post as saying.

According to the TV channel, police officers and a fire and rescue unit are on the scene.

According to a Norfolk Southern spokesman cited by the TV station, about 20 cars derailed. According to the company, no one was injured. The spokesman added that company employees were dispatched to the scene of the accident to begin cleanup efforts.
