CNN: Russian electronic suppression systems reduce effectiveness of HIMARS in Ukraine

In Ukraine, the U.S. HIMARS multiple rocket launcher system is losing effectiveness due to the intensive operation of electronic suppression systems by Russian troops. This was reported by CNN, citing sources.

“The [HIMARS] systems become less and less effective in recent months because of intense jamming by Russia. Russian troops are increasingly using jammers to counteract HIMARS in Ukraine,” the story says.

The TV channel quotes a Ukrainian drone operator, who confirmed the situation with the use of American systems. The publication also quoted a British official who said that since the HIMARS were first introduced, the requirements, training and additional equipment have changed as Russian electronic suppression systems have evolved.
