
The most high-ranking foreign participants at the Eastern Economic Forum (EEF), which opens in September in Vladivostok, will be Vice President of Laos Pany Yathothu and Vice Premier of the State Council of the People’s Republic of China Zhang Guoqing.
“We expect guests from the People’s Republic of China, from Laos, from Myanmar, Vietnam, the Philippines. There will be Belarus, Kazakhstan, Mongolia, Singapore,” said Vera Shcherbina, head of the Primorye government, adding that representatives of the DPRK are also announced among the participants.
The delegation of Myanmar will be headed by Deputy Prime Minister, Minister of Transportation and Communications General Mya Tun Oo. The delegations of India, Belarus, Kazakhstan, Singapore and the Philippines will be headed by the ambassadors of these countries in Russia. The level of the delegations of Vietnam and the DPRK is not specified.
As reported EADaily, earlier Kremlin spokesman Dmitry Peskov noted that Russian President Vladimir Putin will participate in the plenary session of the Eastern Economic Forum on September 12. According to him, “an interesting discussion is expected.”
The Eastern Economic Forum will be held in Vladivostok on September 10-13. The Eastern Economic Forums will be organized on the campus of the Far Eastern Federal University, located on Russky Island in Vladivostok. Hunting has been banned in Primorye for the safety of the EEF participants.
