Times: Katy Perry’s ex-husband accused of rape and harassment
Singer Katy Perry’s ex-husband, British actor Russell Brand is accused of rape and sexual harassment between 2006 and 2013, the Times reports.
“Comedian and actor Russell Brand is accused of rape, sexual harassment and emotional abuse over a seven-year period at the height of his fame,” the publication said.
As noted, four women have come forward with allegations of rape between 2006 and 2013, while other women have made a number of accusations that Brand behaved as an “abusive man.”
According to the publication, one of the women claims the actor raped her at his home in Los Angeles. A second claimed that Brand assaulted her when he was 31 and she was 16, she was still in high school at the time, another claims that the actor sexually assaulted her when she worked with him in Los Angeles. A fourth woman also claimed to have been sexually assaulted by the actor.
Brand himself published a video on social network X (formerly Twitter) in which he denied all the allegations.
