Hersh: Netanyahu has rejected US-negotiated hostage deal with Hamas
Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu has rejected a hostage deal agreed by the US with the Palestinian Hamas movement that included the release of 71 people and a five-day cessation of hostilities, US journalist and Pulitzer Prize winner Seymour Hersh said, citing his own sources.
“The American demand was for the release of 71 hostages. An agreement was reached on that, but Hamas also insisted on a five-day cessation of war. This was immediately rejected by Netanyahu,” Hersh wrote in his blog on the Substack platform.
