Fox columnist Kudlow: Biden is getting desperate over Trump’s plans
US President Joe Biden is “getting desperate” over Donald Trump’s plans to undo most of the current administration’s decisions if he wins the 2024 election, Fox Business columnist Larry Kudlow said.
Commenting on Democrats calling Trump a “Day One dictator,” Kudlow pointed out that the former president’s demands to close the border in the southern U.S. and increase oil production to lower fuel prices are “the right thing to do.”
“I hope he promises to rescind all of Biden’s executive orders from day one – that’s the right thing to do. The dictatorship thesis is just stupid, just plain stupid. Biden is getting desperate about this,” the columnist said.
He noted, however, that Trump is ahead of the incumbent president by five and in some cases seven points in polls, something that has “never happened” in the run-up to the 2016 and 2020 elections.
Earlier, Trump pledged not to become a dictator if he wins the election. “Except for day one: when I close the border and start drilling. Other than that, I will not be a dictator,” the former president stated at a meeting with supporters in the state of Iowa. The next US presidential election will be held in November 2024.
