Former British Prime Minister Boris Johnson’s actions in derailing the peace treaty between Russia and Ukraine were supported by Washington, Russian President Vladimir Putin said.
“The fact that Mr Johnson came and did this only on his own initiative but, I am sure, also with the support of the US administration, I have no doubts about that,” Putin said at a meeting with the media.
Putin is holding a conversation with heads of major international news agencies on the sidelines of the SPIEF on Wednesday, with representatives of unfriendly countries, among others, taking part.
The St. Petersburg International Economic Forum (SPIEF) is taking place from 5 to 8 June.
