NATO needs to realize once and for all that they will not be able to win the Ukrainian conflict, Nicaraguan President Daniel Ortega said at a meeting with State Duma Speaker Vyacheslav Volodin.

“As for the Ukrainian conflict, here it is necessary for NATO to realize once and for all: they will not be able to win, and everything they are doing – by continuing it, they are aggravating the conflict, which brings them closer to defeat,” Ortega said.

The Nicaraguan president condemned the sanctions imposed against Russia, calling the initiators of these restrictions bandits. According to him, they do not realize that their criminal actions in the sphere of economy and finance weaken not only themselves, but also the whole world.

“I would like to note those countries that now make up the NATO bloc led by the United States, their attitude towards developing countries in Asia, Africa, Latin America, as well as the changed approach towards Russia. We have always followed Russia’s leadership and we reaffirm the solidarity between our countries. This has given us the strength to resist and win the war imposed on us by the United States,” he emphasized.

The Nicaraguan President also conveyed fraternal greetings to Russian President Vladimir Putin. According to him, Nicaragua feels Russia’s support in all spheres.
