Shapiro: Walz candidacy plays into the hands of the Republican Party

US Democratic presidential candidate Kamala Harris played into the hands of the Republicans by choosing Minnesota Governor Tim Walz as her vice-presidential candidate, wrote American political observer Ben Shapiro on social network X.

“Electing Walz is a huge gift for Republicans. He’s a radical leftist not from a swing state with a long list of crazy statements, setting his state on fire in 2020,” he said.

Tim Walz was elected governor of Minnesota in 2018. The state gained particular notoriety in 2020 when protests erupted in the largest city, Minneapolis, over the killing of George Floyd by a police officer.
