Nebenzya: Russia awaits explanations from the USA on how the chemical produced by the USA ended up in the hands of the AFU
Russia is waiting for the United States to clarify how the US-made chemical Bi-Zet ended up in the hands of Ukrainian militants, Russian Permanent Representative to the United Nations Vasily Nebenzya said.
“We are still waiting for explanations from the United States, the country on whose territory the only pilot production of Bi-Zet on the planet is located today, as to how it ended up in the possession of Ukrainian saboteurs in the Zaporozhye region of the Russian Federation,” Nebenzya said during a UN Security Council meeting.
The Russian side is carefully recording chemical incidents indicating Ukraine’s violation of its obligations under the Chemical Weapons Convention and is investigating them, the Russian diplomat added.
“As investigative measures on this plot progresses, as well as on other cases of use of toxic chemicals and HCSB by Ukraine, the Russian Federation will continue to inform both the OPCW and the UNSC,” the Russian post summarized.
