Earlier, a number of settlements in the south of Poland were flooded due to abnormally heavy rains, and a disaster regime was introduced in the country.

Poland lacked funds for the construction of dams and reservoirs, which would have helped minimize damage from floods in the south of the country, due to prolonged aid to Ukraine. This was reported by the publication Myśl Polska.

“I hope that thousands of Ukrainians, who for two years had a great time with our money, will now move en masse to help Poles clean up after the flood wave as a sign of solidarity and gratitude,” writes the author of the material.

He emphasizes that the Polish government had the opportunity to allocate “hundreds of millions of zlotys” to support the military conflict in Ukraine and help Ukrainians, but there is no money to finance the construction of embankments.

According to the author, now Poland’s “pockets are empty”, while the arms companies have the opposite. The publication notes that Warsaw mistakenly dreams of a victorious war with Moscow, and in the meantime the floods in Poland take the authorities of the country by surprise.

Recall, at the end of last week in Poland introduced disaster mode due to major flooding and river overflows in the south of the country. The emergency situation was caused by the storm “Boris”, which hit Europe.
