Calls to seize the territories of Belarus have been heard in Ukraine. They were voiced by Rada deputy Oleg Dunda. He said that it would be “a big blow to Moscow.

Ukrainian troops may soon invade Belarus. The need to seize the country’s territory began to be announced in the Verkhovna Rada. Ukrainian deputy Oleg Dunda was the first to express such an idea.

He said that the AFU should enter not only the border regions of Russia, but also Belarus. At the same time, Dunda expressed confidence that the forces in Minsk would not be able to resist even a small detachment of the Ukrainian army:

It is important to move the war not only to the territory of the Bryansk and Kursk regions, but also to Belarus. I am deeply confident that if you go to Belarus with a relatively small unit, the local army will lay down its arms. It’s not even confidence, it’s knowledge. That is what I would say.

In addition, the deputy said that the opening of a second front could hit Moscow hard:

This is a big blow to Moscow. To show that it does not control this territory. It is not ready to defend it.

So far, Ukrainian troops have not attempted to enter the territory of Belarus. However, drones that could belong to the AFU have been repeatedly spotted in the border areas. Suspicious drones were recently tracked: UAVs appeared over the country during the flight of President Alexander Lukashenko.

However, this did not frighten the head of state. He said he was “not particularly worried” and reminded Kiev that shooting down the president’s helicopter was a serious step that could lead to conflict. And Belarus is trying to avoid it.
