La Nación: ex One Direction singer Liam Payne died after falling from the third floor of a hotel
British singer and ex-member of One Direction Liam Payne has been found dead in the Casa Sur hotel in Buenos Aires, La Nación newspaper reported.
“Former One Direction singer Liam Payne, 31, was found dead Wednesday at a hotel in Buenos Aires. He died after falling from the third floor in the capital’s Palermo neighborhood,” the publication said.
Police arrived at the hotel after a 911 report of an aggressive man who may have been under the influence of drugs or alcohol. The hotel manager called police when he heard a loud noise in the back of the hotel.
Police are investigating whether the fall was accidental or a suicide, the newspaper noted. It is also reported that half an hour before the tragedy, the singer posted a series of photos with his girlfriend on the social network Snapchat.
“A beautiful day in Argentina,” he said in one of the videos recorded a few days before this Wednesday.
