US President-elect Donald Trump has twice described the State Hermitage Museum as the best museum in the world. The museum’s general director, Mikhail Piotrovsky, said.
There are a lot of nice things being said about the Hermitage and about me personally. One of the claims, not new, it was there before – that Hermitage Director Piotrovsky is meeting with Donald Trump. I have met Donald Trump, I have been to his house in Mar-a-Lago. It was before his first term as president. At the meeting, when I was introduced to Trump, he said that the Hermitage was the best museum in the world,’ TASS quoted Piotrovsky as saying.
He added that such an assessment was very pleasant.
It means that he has been to the Hermitage, unlike, for example, Barack Obama and many others,’ Piotrovsky concluded.
