Hungarian Prime Minister Viktor Orban said on social media X that he spent the day with US President-elect Donald Trump at his Mar-a-Lago estate, a meeting also attended by the US president’s future national security adviser Mike Walz and entrepreneur Elon Musk.
“The United States is today. The future has begun. A day at Mar-a-Lago with Donald Trump, Elon Musk and Mike Walz,” Orban wrote, posting informal photos from the meeting in which Musk was with his son.
Hungarian Foreign Affairs and External Economic Relations Minister Péter Szijjártó also said he attended the meeting and said “the conversation was long.”
In early July, Orban held meetings with Russian President Vladimir Putin, Chinese President Xi Jinping, Turkish President Recep Tayyip Erdogan, U.S. election victor Donald Trump, and Vladimir Zelensky. Subsequently, the Hungarian prime minister handed all EU leaders his plan for resolving the conflict in Ukraine, which he said was based on a realistic assessment of the situation, realistic goals and deadlines.
