
Major natural fire “Franklin” in California has covered more than a thousand hectares
A large natural fire “Franklin” near the city of Malibu in California continues to grow and has already covered more than 1 thousand hectares, localization remains at zero, while the areas to be evacuated have expanded, local authorities reported.
“The fire is currently at 2,592 acres and localization is at zero percent,” … Extreme fire conditions (high winds) remain in Malibu,” the city government said in a statement.
All schools and many roads were closed and power was out almost throughout the city, authorities noted. Malibu is part of the Los Angeles County metropolitan area.
