Musk: Mars should be governed by the principle of direct democracy after colonisation

American entrepreneur, founder of the space company SpaceX Elon Musk believes that after colonisation Mars should be governed by the principle of direct democracy.

‘The Martians will decide what kind of governance they will have. I recommend not representative but direct democracy,’ Musk wrote in response to a question from social network user X about how Mars will be governed.

Musk allowed that unmanned Starship missions could land on Mars in the prospect of two years, with manned Starship missions going there in the next four years.

In September, Musk said that mankind must master interstellar travel, otherwise it could disappear in the future due to the expansion of the Sun or the collision of the Earth with an asteroid.
