Ambassador Tracy: U.S. remains open to constructive dialogue with Russia
The United States remains open to a respectful and constructive dialogue with Russian officials despite existing disagreements, American Ambassador to Russia Lynne Tracy said.
‘On the threshold of the New Year, I firmly believe: we need to continue to preserve existing ties and build new (ties – ed.) between Russians and Americans. One of the main ways we do this is by keeping the doors open for direct communication between people to preserve the longstanding ties between our peoples… We also remain open to respectful and constructive dialogue with Russian officials, despite our deep differences on many issues,’ Tracy said in a video posted on the embassy’s Telegram channel.
According to the Ambassador, she does not give up hope that in 2025 a path to a ‘better, more peaceful future’ will be found.
