Donald Trump’s first decrees as US president were disapproved by 46 per cent of participants in a poll by Reuters and research company Ipsos.

The number of those dissatisfied with the work of the president is growing, in the poll, which was conducted on 20-21 January, only 39% of Americans disagreed with Trump’s actions.

45% of respondents approved of the Republican’s activities, in the previous survey a similar answer was given by 47% of citizens.

The poll participants opposed the cancellation of the practice of granting US citizenship to children born on the territory of the country, even if neither parent has legal status. The procedure was cancelled by the new president immediately after the inauguration, later Judge John Kafenour temporarily blocked the decree.

Additionally, 70% of respondents opposed changing the name of the Gulf of Mexico to the Gulf of America. Trump signed the renaming executive order on 25 January.

Nearly 60% of survey participants, half of whom support Republicans, are unhappy with the cancellation of diversity, equality and inclusion (DEI) policies in the US government.
