Rescuers have pulled from the river the bodies of 41 dead passengers of the Bombardier plane that earlier collided with a Black Hawk military helicopter in Washington, ABC News reported, citing the city’s fire and ambulance chief John Donnelly Sr.

Twenty-eight of them have been identified. As of 31 January, 18 families had been notified of the deaths of relatives.

The airliner collided in mid-air with a military helicopter over Washington, D.C., and crashed into a river on Wednesday, 29 January. It had 60 passengers and four crew members on board and three military personnel in the helicopter; no one survived the crash. The collision occurred when the aircraft was coming in for landing at the airport, writes ABC News.
