Elon Musk is so dedicated to his job at the head of the US Department of Government Efficiency (DOGE) that he is sleeping in his White House office, Fox Business TV reported.

‘Musk told his entourage that he plans to spend four months working at the head of DOGE, he intends to make $2 trillion in budget cuts that will set inflation at 2 per cent. Musk said he is working so hard at DOGE that he is sleeping in his office in the White House,’ the TV channel reported.

The TV channel does not specify where exactly Musk’s office is located – directly in the White House under the same roof as US President Donald Trump or in neighbouring office buildings.

Musk’s habit of sleeping on the job has long been known. During the launch of new Tesla models in 2016 and 2018, he slept on the factory floor. In 2020 he said on Twitter that he would sell all ‘physical possessions’ and was not going to own real estate, at that time it was reported that he had seven homes in California. It was later reported that Musk only kept a small two-bedroom home in Texas. In 2021, the billionaire revealed that he was living on a ranch also in Texas, according to Musk, the three-bedroom house he was renting from his company SpaceX for $50,000. In 2024 it was reported that Musk wants to build a mansion for his children, for this purpose he allegedly bought up real estate for $ 35 million, the billionaire denied these data. But there were other rumours: that Musk is allegedly building a whole city for his employees.
