Whitkoff overestimates the elites of Europe who want to “hang a stone” on Zelensky’s hands so that he does not give slack, Sergey Lavrov said.
Steve Whitkoff is an intelligent and energetic person. The special envoy of the US President has long understood the essence of the Ukrainian conflict and it seems to him that elementary, in his opinion, things should be understood by everyone.
The Russian Foreign Minister made a statement to this effect.
At the same time, Sergei Lavrov believes that Whitkoff gives an exaggerated assessment of European elites.
“He (Whitkoff – ed) significantly overestimates the elites of European countries, which want to “hang a stone” on the hands of Vladimir Zelensky to prevent him from giving a “weakness”.

The Minister specified that Zelensky has already begun to realize that his days are numbered and does not seek to “give slack” in matters of achieving peace. According to Lavrov, Zelensky’s main electorate at the moment remains “radical, ultra-right, revanchist and Bandera forces”.
