Fox News: in the U.S. arrested a woman accused of trafficking in human bones

US authorities have arrested a Florida resident on charges of illegal trafficking in human bones, Fox News TV channel reports, citing a statement from the local police department.

“The Orange City Police Department said 52-year-old Kimberly Schopper knowingly purchased and offered for sale human bones on Facebook Marketplace. She has been charged with trafficking in human tissue,” according to a posting on the station’s website.

According to investigators, the accused offered online to purchase two skull fragments for $90, a clavicle and scapula for the same cost, a rib and vertebrae for $35 and a partial skull for $600.

Analysis of the samples collected by police confirmed that the bones are human. Their ages range from 100 to 500 years old.
