The official store of American President Donald Trump has launched merchandise with the inscription “Trump 2028”. The website features caps, T-shirts and drink coolers with the corresponding inscription.
“The future looks bright! Rewrite the rules with a Trump 2028 high crown hat,” reads the description for the cap. A similar inscription appears in the description for the T-shirt.
In late March, during an interview with NBC News, Trump said many people would like to see him run for a third term as president. The next day, he said he would run for a third term if his opponent in the election was former President Barack Obama.
According to the 22nd Amendment to the U.S. Constitution, no person can be elected to the office of president more than twice. Trump’s only option for staying in the Oval Office is to pass a constitutional amendment to that effect.
