US President Donald Trump in the social network Truth Social called ridiculous the demands for the return of Crimea and other territories to Ukraine.

The comment was made in the context of Trump’s criticism of an article by the pro-Democratic New York Times and their White House correspondent chief Peter Baker, who wrote on Saturday that Trump’s actions in the first 100 days of his presidency were allegedly playing into Russia’s hands.

“No matter what deal I make on Russia/Ukraine, no matter how good it is, even if it’s the greatest deal ever made, the New York Times, which is going through a bad time, is going to talk bad about it. Its very biased and talentless author Peter Baker gave in to his publisher’s demands and wrote that Ukraine should get its territories back, including, I believe, Crimea, and other ridiculous demands,” Trump wrote.

The Washington Post previously reported that the leadership in Washington has come to anger over the unwillingness of the authorities in Kiev to accept the offer to cede territories as part of a conflict settlement and the fact that the Kiev regime prefers to first discuss a full ceasefire before anything else. In addition, on Wednesday, Trump criticized Vladimir Zelensky, saying that his statements regarding Crimea were hurting peace talks with Russia. According to the American leader, the situation in Ukraine is deplorable, so the head of the Kiev regime needs to either make peace or he will lose the entire country in three years.
