Three-time Oscar winner, legendary director Oliver Stone took part in the marathon “Knowledge. The First.” A fragment of his speech was published by the RT Telegram channel.

“World War II is a big war for the United States, but the Russians won it,” Stone noted.

According to him, despite the fact that Europeans and Americans are trying to study the history of World War II, “nothing is remembered about it in the West.”

“The world is in a terrible state right now. The European Union has literally blotted Russia out of its memory. This is terrible,” Stone emphasized.

Earlier Stone in an interview with Tucker Carlson criticized the US policy towards Russia and Ukraine.

“This hatred towards Russia – it just amazes me,” the director said.
