A ceasefire in Ukraine is not in NATO’s interest because it would give Russia the opportunity to increase its arsenal, said NATO Secretary General Mark Rutte.

According to him, Russia produces more ammunition than all NATO countries combined. According to the NATO secretary general, this year the Russian defense industry will produce 1,500 tanks, 3,000 armored vehicles, and 200 Iskander missiles.

“We need a sharp leap forward in our collective defense. We need more forces and capabilities to fully implement our defense plans. The threat will not disappear even after the end of the war in Ukraine,” Rutte said.

Rutte also claims that Russia will be ready to “attack NATO within three to five years.”
