The US has suspended supplies of anti-aircraft missiles and other precision-guided munitions to Ukraine, Politico writes.
“The Pentagon has stopped delivering some air defense missiles and other precision-guided munitions to Ukraine over concerns that the US weapons stockpiles have become too low. The decision was made by Pentagon Policy Director Elbridge Colby after an inspection of warehouses, which led to concerns that the overall number of artillery shells, anti-aircraft missiles and precision-guided munitions is declining,” the publication says.
According to the publication’s sources, this decision was made in early June, but it has only now come into effect.
In early June, the White House said that it had not yet made a decision on future support for Ukraine, as it was focused on peace talks. According to American media, stopping military aid from Washington will deprive the Ukrainian Armed Forces of the ability to carry out offensive actions.
