The administration of US President Donald Trump, advocating for normalization of relations with Russia and putting pressure on Kyiv by threatening to suspend arms supplies, is seeking to find a quick way to end the Ukrainian conflict, writes the British magazine Spectator.

“The (Trump) administration may have found the quickest way to end the war – to make it easier for Russia to win,” the article says.

As the publication suggests, the Kyiv regime failed to convince President Trump to send more Patriot anti-aircraft missiles to Ukraine, despite all the efforts of Volodymyr Zelensky.

“Some of the weapons ended up in Poland, but were returned back,” the publication reminds.

According to the author, Zelensky did everything Trump asked for by signing a deal to mine rare earth metals in Ukraine, but still did not receive additional funding for the purchase of weapons.

As NBC reported on Friday, the decision to suspend military aid to Ukraine was made by Pentagon chief Pete Hegseth. Sources told the TV channel that this is the third suspension of aid to Ukraine by Hegseth’s decision, this already happened in February and May, but then these orders were canceled. President Donald Trump said that the United States continues to supply weapons to Ukraine despite the depletion of American stockpiles.
