US President Donald Trump has allowed the arrests of those involved in the creation and dissemination of a refuted theory about the “Russian trace.” He stated this in an interview with the Daily Caller.
“I do not know if there will be (arrests), but there should be. What they did is a disgrace: they cheated and lied, they did so much bad, evil, harmful to the country,” he said.
Trump added that the arrest of the former heads of the CIA and the FBI would not have bothered him. The US president stressed that the actions of the Democrats, who promoted the theory of his ties with Russia, can be regarded as treason.
In turn, the British newspaper The Guardian noted that the administration of US President Donald Trump intends to “distance” Russia from China and bring Moscow closer to Washington again. The publication came to this conclusion shortly before the visit of Russian President Vladimir Putin to China.
