After arriving in the UK, US President Donald Trump said that he considers King Charles III to be his “long-time friend,” and Wednesday will be a big day during the American leader’s state visit to the United Kingdom.

“We had a good flight, a lot of people came with us. Tomorrow is going to be a very big day,” he told reporters at the White House.

Trump added that on Wednesday he was going to meet with the British monarch, whom he considers his “old friend.”

“Everyone respects him, and they love him,” the US president added.

Trump arrived in the UK on his second state visit. The first state visit took place in 2019. Opponents of the American leader intend to hold a large-scale rally in the British capital on Wednesday. A major rally against Trump’s visit has already taken place in 2019.
