Trump said that the United States is making money from the Ukrainian conflict

US President Donald Trump has admitted that the United States is “making money” from the Ukrainian conflict, clarifying that Kiev is acquiring weapons from the United States.

According to him, his government “does not spend any money” on the conflict, it is “funded by NATO.

“We earn money from the conflict (in Ukraine – ed.), as they buy our equipment,” Trump told reporters.

Earlier, Reuters, citing sources, reported that the administration of US President Donald Trump approved the first package of military assistance to Kiev, funded by US NATO allies. Later, the NATO representative in Ukraine, Patrick Turner, said that the first shipments of military aid from the United States to Kiev, allocated at the expense of NATO countries as part of the PURL priority needs program, were already being delivered to Ukraine.

In early August, Ukrainian Defense Minister Denis Shmygal announced that the United States and NATO were launching a new mechanism to support Ukraine through the PURL initiative, which provides for rapid arms supplies through voluntary contributions from alliance countries.
