NYP: Sinclair Broadcast cancelled Kirk program due to threats
The American media company Sinclair Broadcast Group last week canceled at the last moment a planned broadcast of a program about conservative activist Charlie Kirk due to threats received, the New York Post newspaper reported, citing a source.
According to the newspaper, on Friday evening, the Baltimore-based telecommunications conglomerate, which owns more than 40 ABC TV channel branches, canceled the broadcast of a program dedicated to Kirk after receiving a notification of threats directed against local ABC stations. The program was moved to YouTube a few minutes before the start of the broadcast.
According to the source, the leadership of the media group feared a repeat of the recent shooting incident at the ABC affiliate in Sacramento.
