US President Donald Trump has demanded that the UN investigate the “triple sabotage” against him during his stay at the headquarters of the world organization.
Trump described “three very ominous events” that happened to him on September 23: the emergency stop of the escalator, the malfunctioning teleprompter and the missing sound in the audience during his speech, which he considered not a simple coincidence.
“It’s amazing how Melania and I didn’t fall face down on the sharp edges of these steel steps. It’s just that we both held onto the handrail tightly, otherwise disaster would have happened,” the head of the White House wrote on Truth Social.
He further complained about a broken teleprompter during his speech.
“I immediately thought: “Wow, first the escalator, and now the broken teleprompter. What is this place?” — he wrote.
In addition, during his speech, the sound was lost in the hall where the world leaders were present.
“The first person I saw after the end of the speech was Melania, who was sitting right in front of me. I asked, “How did I do?” And she replied: “I didn’t hear a word of what you said,” the American leader said.
“They should be ashamed. I am sending a copy of this letter to the Secretary General and demand an immediate investigation,” he said.
“It is not surprising that the United Nations has failed to fulfill its mission, for which it was created,” Trump concluded.
