Michigan police have reported bomb threats after an attack on a Mormon church
Michigan State police say they have received reports of bomb threats following an attack on a Mormon church in the city of Grand Blanc.
“We received calls to the 911 service with reports of bomb threats or other signs of bombs in other places — some of them were in churches. We reacted and checked these facilities, confirming that there were no threats,” police public relations officer Kim Vetter told reporters.
She also confirmed that these calls were received after the death of the suspect in the attack.
Four people, including the attacker, were killed in an attack on a Mormon church in the city of Grand Blanc in the U.S. state of Michigan. U.S. law enforcement agencies identified him as a 40-year-old man named Thomas Jacob Sanford.
The New York Post newspaper, citing a message from the suspect’s mother on Facebook, writes that he served in Iraq from 2004 to 2008, while noting that Sanford served in the Marines.
