Microsoft has added artificial intelligence agents to Word, Excel and PowerPoint
Microsoft has added artificial intelligence (AI) functions to office programs. The ZDNet publication drew attention to this.
The company announced that AI agents have appeared in Word, Excel and PowerPoint editors. These are new virtual assistants designed to simplify working with text, numbers, and graphics. They are currently available to all users of the Microsoft 365 Copilot subscription.
In Word, the agent will help you format text in a certain way, collect data, or, for example, arrange headings. In Excel, AI is useful for analyzing large amounts of data, verifying calculations, and correcting errors. In PowerPoint, the AI agent will be able to generate slides based on the user’s text query. At the same time, the latter will not need to have the skills to create presentations.
Microsoft said that AI agents are available to both regular and corporate users. Users only need to have a paid subscription to the Microsoft 365 Copilot service. Also, at the start, the new options will work only with English.
At the end of September, Microsoft released the latest update for the Windows 10 operating system (OS). The update does not contain any security-related fixes.
